Refund Policy

1 Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are processed for bookings made through the MandapX platform. Refund eligibility is determined based on the specific cancellation policy of the venue, the timing of the cancellation, and the applicable service fees.

MandapX acts as a facilitator between venue seekers and venue owners. The actual refund amount is determined by the venue's cancellation policy, which is displayed at the time of booking. MandapX service fees are subject to their own refund rules as described in this policy.

2 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are applicable under the following circumstances:

• Cancellation made by the user as per the venue's cancellation policy (see Cancellation Policy for details)
• Cancellation initiated by the venue operator, in which case a full refund is applicable
• Duplicate or erroneous payments made through the platform
• Technical errors resulting in incorrect charges
• Force majeure events where the venue cannot honour the booking and no alternative date is agreed upon

3 Refund Amounts

The refund amount is calculated based on the timing of the cancellation relative to the event date. The standard refund structure is as follows:

4 Refund Process

The refund process works as follows:

• Once a cancellation is confirmed, the refund request is initiated automatically.
• Refunds are processed within 7-14 business days from the date of cancellation.
• The refund is issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking.
• You will receive a confirmation email with the refund details once the process is complete.
• Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

5 Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in the following situations:

• When the cancellation falls within a partial refund tier as outlined in the venue's cancellation policy
• When a user modifies their booking to a lower-value package or reduces the guest count, resulting in a difference that may be refundable
• When only a portion of the booking package (such as add-on services) is cancelled while the main booking remains confirmed

6 Non-Refundable Items

The following items are generally non-refundable:

• MandapX service fees for cancellations made within 59 days of the event date
• Booking amount for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event
• Any amount already disbursed to venue owners for confirmed bookings
• Third-party service fees (e.g., payment gateway charges) incurred during the original transaction

7 Dispute Resolution

If you believe you are entitled to a refund that has not been processed, please contact our support team. We will review your case and work with the venue to reach a fair resolution. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be escalated as per the terms outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

We encourage users to first attempt to resolve any disputes directly with the venue before escalating to MandapX. Our team will act as a mediator to facilitate communication and find a mutually agreeable solution.

8 Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on this page. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification.

Refunds for bookings made before a policy change will be processed according to the policy in effect at the time the booking was made, unless the change is required by applicable law.
